Antenna Party!

Today’s the day for the Antenna Party!  Not really a party, but still a lot of fun!  We’ve got 2-3 antenna’s and we’re going to launch 2 strings for each antenna into the trees, then tie an end of the string to each end of the antenna and raise them up into the sky.  Typical Field Day Antenna’s for W5WQ (South West Mississippi Amateur Radio Club) is to use 1 G5RV, and 1 Carolina Windom (both Dipoles) and a  Vertical  Stand Mount antenna that’s used for 2 meters.  I’ll try to repair my 10 meter dipole and bring it, my 10 meter radio and my Signalink, a few other things to the Field Day to display.  I just hope I can end up spending a fair amount of time helping the club out this year.  I’ll also be taking my Extra Class License Test.  Despite what they say, it’s a tough one!
